About

Matthew West BSc CISM

Founder | AVIA Advance & Hawk Aerosafety

AVIA Advance is a concept created by the president of Hawk Aerosafety LLC, Matthew West.

Matthew founded Hawk Aerosafety in 2022, having served in multiple senior aviation safety positions with leading US Part 135 operators. He has served in multiple helicopter pilot positions, including in law enforcement and commercial operations.

As a trained and experienced safety professional, Matthew regularly provides aviation safety auditing to organizations in order to improve their safety resilience.

AVIA Advance was conceived as a way for aviation organizations to address common findings seen in aviation safety audits, providing accessible safety and awareness training to strengthen safety programs.

Matthew is a Certified International Safety Manager (CISM), a member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI) and a graduate of the USC Viterbi Aviation Safety and Security program.
